The modern St. Bernard is somewhat larger than the they were when first bred. Males are at least 27.5 inches at the withers and weigh 150-180 pounds when full grown. Females are at least 25 inches tall, of "finer and more delicate build," (relatively speaking!) and tip the scales between 130-160 pounds.
